Enjoy the area’s picturesque trails on our top brand mountain bikes. You can enjoy the short, family friendly, 3 mile route or the full 8 mile reservoir circuit now all off road. Alternatively you can increase your route a little further and take in Hopton and Carsington Village. Our tracks are regularly maintained and improved by Severn Trent Water and link to the Tissington and High Peak trails. The following prices & hire conditions are for members of the public only. Our cycle hire consists of mountains bikes from the Giant and Dawes range all with front suspension. We also offer comfort bikes for those who require a more upright seating position and power assisted bikes as below. Electric Bikes We are the Hub for the Electric Bike Network in the Peak District so now have the Giant Electric Bikes available for hire. The prices for these are as follows:
*Burley Piccolo Tag Along Unit :- Max Childs Weight 32kg, Min Inside Leg 45cm. Please note that this unit is only hired with our own cycles due to the bespoke mounting system. **Beto Child Seat :- Max Childs Weight 15kg, child must be able sit to up unsupported.Please note that this unit is only hired with our own cycles due to the bespoke mounting system. The child seats are fitted to 18" frame adult cycles ( min inside leg 71cm) *** Tow buggies are suitable for 2 small children up to a collective weight of 25kg. Please note that this unit is only hired with our own cycles due to the bespoke mounting system. Cycle helmets must be worn by every hirer and are provided free of charge. Deposits We do not like asking for deposits but unfortunately they are here to stay. Instead of cash, we ask for a driving licence, passport, credit or debit card (in your name) to be left with us until your return. The ID must display your signature. Your ID will be securely sealed into an envelope and locked away until your return. Our staff will be unable to hire any bikes without one of the above deposits Responsibility All bikes and equipment supplied by CSL Ltd are the responsibility of the hirer for the duration of hire. Bike locks can be supplied on request subject to availabilty and we strongly recommend that bikes are locked if left unattended.
Bookings Cycles may be booked in advance subject to availability and must be collected by 11am. Bookings can be made by telephone or email (details below) Opening Times The cycle hire is open from 10am every day apart from Christmas Day and New Years Day. All bikes have to be returned by 5.30pm during the main season and earlier during autumn and winter. Contact the centre for more exact information for individual times of year. Please note the cycle hire will close between 12pm and 12.45pm, bikes will only be able to be returned during this time.
